Delaware Seashore State Park Campground
CLICK ON PICTURE TO MAKE IT FULL SIZE. sorry it's not clear. I can't figure out how to put full quality pictures on the net, but I'm working on it.
Hi! My name is Sharry and my husband, Curt, and I are the campground hosts at Delaware Seashore State park. We spent 7 months here last year and I'd love to let all you other campers know about this very special place, so I've created a small website with a few pictures and some basic information. Hope it's helpful in planning your vacation.
"Delaware Seashore State Park Campground" is located at the junction of the Indian River Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. The campground itself, and many sites in the campground, is waterfront, as you'll be able to see in the pictures I've included.
The campground is devided into three sections. New Camp (full hookups), Old Camp (no hookups) and Overflow (no hookups).
The above picture and the one below are of what is known as "Old Camp". No hook-ups in this section of the campground, but if you don't mind roughing it a bit, this is the best place to stay with excellent saltwater fishing right outside your camper door and breath-taking views of the Indian River Inlet, Indian River Bay and although the campground isn't oceanfront, the Atlantic Ocean is close enough to easily be seen from the campground.

Another picture (above) of Old Camp. I'm facing west looking toward the Indian River Bay (The Bay is the body of water in the background of the picture. The water on the right hand side of the picture is Indian River Inlet.) I'm standing on a bridge and the ocean is to my back.
I just noticed...if you look clear over to the left of the picture, you can see the front part of "New Camp".
Lots of fisherpeople here today, but that's quite usual for this time of year (picture above taken in July). It's normally quite active along the rail with people catching Tog, Striper, Flounder, Blues, Rock Fish and many others.

Another picture taken today (June 25, 2001) from the Indian River Inlet Bridge. Now you can see both "Old Camp" and "New Camp". "Old Camp" is the section right along the water and "New Camp" ("New Camp" has 148 full hookup sites) is the section in the back. Not too clear, but good enough for you to see the beautiful scenery.
Now....If you'll scroll to the bottom of the page, there's 2 more links to more Delaware Seashore State Park Pictures. Look for the "Indian River Links".
